Degaussing

The Data Killers division of Turtle Wings offers the ultimate service for quickly, securely and completely degaussing hard drives, back up-tapes, etc.  We offer on-site hard drive degaussing services as well as disk degaussing in our highly secure facility.   For customers requiring destruction of classified materials, degaussing hard drives then shredding them is the only NSA approved solution.  Our hard drive degausser is the HD-1T which is the NSA approved hard drive degausser for purging classified media.  This two-step process of degaussing disks then shredding satisfies all DoD regulations and guidelines. 

Hard disc degaussing services can be overseen by our customers, recorded to DVD, monitored remotely via dedicated IP address or overseen and verified by personnel with a secret-level security clearance.   Though we are certified by the Defense Logistics Information Service to store and transport military critical technical information, our on-site service allows our customers to watch our process of degaussing harddrives right at their own facility. Our unique process along with cleared personnel provides the highest level of security.

Our hard drive degaussing process is in full compliance with all physical destruction criteria as set forth by various laws and regulations, including but not limited to: NIST standards; DoD regulations; HIPAA; Sarbanes-Oxley Act; Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act; FACTA Disposal Rule; Bank Secrecy Act; Patriot Act of 2002; Identity Theft and Assumption Deterrence Act; US Safe Harbor Provisions; FDA Security Regulations; PCI Data Security Standard; Various state laws.

Our nationally recognized Certificate of Destruction will suffice for all compliance purposes.
